Animations from the Research Project 297 41 132 of the German Federal Environmental Agency

Within the research project No. 297 41 132 of the German Federal Environmental Agency part of spatiotemporal climate variability is attributed to anthropogenic and natural forcing.

Aside a comprehensive report in German there is a short report in English as well as a short summary in German.

Furthermore the major results are presented as short movies.

Finally some of the spatiotemporal signal patterns are shown here for global and European grids. For further information on the data and methods used we refer to the reports above.

Global signal fields

Temperature from 1894 to 1995 for 72 grid boxes

                        Greenhouse-gas signal (annual mean)]

Probability of observed climate change]

European signal fields

Temperature from 1899 to 1998 for 52 grid boxes

                        Greenhouse-gas signal (annual mean)]

Signal of North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) (January mean)

Precipitation from 1900 to 1998 for 83 grid boxes

Greenhouse-gas signal (annual sum in 0.1mm)
